Abstract Prints on Canvas

Abstract prints on canvas are a wonderful way to decorate your home. You can also offer them as a gift to someone that is meaningful to your life. They provide a manner in which you can preserve memories and make a lasting impression. Creating that special piece of art is only limited to your imagination. Thanks to the digital world of computing you can now create art from any print easily.

In order to create abstract prints on canvas you need the correct paper, a computer, nails, a frame and a printer. The canvas paper can be found at any location that sells paper for printing. Generally the cost is not that expensive. Do realize, however, that the piece is only as good as the paper that it is printed on. So be sure to choose correct paper for this project.

If you wish to create abstract prints on canvas you can begin by choosing your print. Make sure that the one that you choose has the correct resolution for a decent quality piece. Ideally the print should have the resolution of at least 300 pixels for a photo that is 4 by 6 inches. That way the appearance is a high quality piece once you have it completed. Note that the quality of the picture seriously affects the look of the finished piece.

Now that you have the print that you wish to use chosen you must scan the print or upload it to your computer. There are several print programs which allow you to create abstract prints on canvas. Any one of them will do quite satisfactorily. Most printers come with software that can be used for this exact purpose.

Once you have scanned or uploaded your print simply select print preview. Look at the alignment of the print carefully to ensure that the print is exactly as you like it. If it is then select the highest quality on your printer. Remember to add some space to the edge of the piece. You can choose to allow the picture to be part of the fold on the end result. That is a more artistic look. You can also add some white space. No matter which one you choose, make sure that you take care to add enough edge to the final print that you are able to place it on the frame. Take a regular piece of paper to print a copy first as a test. Then once it is aligned just as you like it, print it on the canvas to get your abstract prints on canvas. Once it is printed allow it to dry thoroughly. That takes approximately one day.

The next day you can begin placing the print on the frame. This part of the project is a bit tricky. Place the print on a table upside down. Then place the frame on top of that in the same manner. Be sure to look carefully to make sure that the print is placed as you wish it to be on the frame. You can measure it exactly if you like. It is not an exact science. Just make sure that the people in the print are not placed in a manner that is not appealing. Art is up to the creator though.

Now that you have that in place simply fold one edge at the corner over the frame. Now at that same edge fold the other corner over the first. Place a nail in as you like it and hammer the nail into the frame. Repeat this at each edge. When you are finished with that you have your abstract prints on canvas.
