The maximum size you can order depends on the quality of your photo. If the photo and resolution is quite small, you will be limited to a smaller size canvas, otherwise during the enlargement process the canvas picture will become pixelated and produce a disappointing result.
After uploading your photo, our Canvas Editor gives a feedback score on the quality of your photo, and whether we think it suits the size of canvas you have chosen.
Our Canvas Uploader allows Jpeg, PNG and Gif files, but if you have a different format just send us an email at info@photoincanvas.co.uk or call us FREE on 0800 630 0610 and we will do our best to help.
To use our canvas uploader your image must meet our file size limits.
Our minimum accepted file size is 300kb and our maximum file size is 20mb.
To find out the size of your image:
For Windows users:
Right-click your image file and select "Properties" from the File menu. This opens up the Properties Window which will display the size of the image.
For Mac users:
Single-click your image file in the Finder and select "Get Info" from the File menu (or hit Command-I on your keyboard) and a new window appears. This opens up the Info Window which will display the size of the image.
In most cases any image that's lower than 300kb will not be good enough quality to put onto even our smallest canvasses. Images taken on mobile phones or from websites such as Facebook are often below 300kb, so it is better to use the original, higher quality photograph if at all possible. If you are still unsure, or want us to check your image, email it to us at info@photoincanvas.co.uk and we will be happy to check it for you.
All orders require that the customer confirms they have permission to reprint the photo. Explicit permission is required from the photographer or copyright holder if you do not own copyright on the photo.
Yes, we can! If you send to us your photo via a recorded postal service we will run a high resolution scan of the photo and print the scan to canvas to the dimensions you order. Your original photo will be returned to you along with your ordered canvas print.
If you would like a size not given in our price list, then please email us on info@photoincanvas.co.uk or call us FREE on 0800 630 0610 and we will do our best to help.
Our in-house studio can enhance your photo. Simple edits, such as red eye and blemish reduction, are free of charge.

Pixels per inch (ppi) is what makes up the resolution of a file. In effect it is the density of pixels per inch in the digital photo you want to send us. You can usually tell the pixel size of your photo by looking at the properties of your photo in the file. The higher the resolution, the better the quality of photo and therefore the bigger you can enlarge the photo without the image becoming grainy or pixelated.
If you cannot upload your photo it usually means that your image does not meet our file size limitations or you are trying to upload an invalid file type
