Located in Tower Hamlets, east London, on the amusingly-named Isle Of Dogs, the Canary Wharf business district is one of the two major financial centres in London (the other being the older and more traditional 'City Of London') and contains many of the country's tallest buildings, among them being One Canada Square - the building in the centre with the pyramidal roof, which at 770 foot tall is the second tallest building in the UK. Canary Wharf is only around twenty years old, but already occupies a permanent place in the skyline of one of the oldest cities in the world.
