In 1939, the Ministry of Information developed a unique poster to boost morale during the Second World War. The poster was to be used as a last resort but was never actually displayed. As a result, the slogan remained unknown to the general public until 2000 when it was rediscovered in a book shop in Northumberland. After its discovery, the simple five word poster was reprinted and became extremely popular. The slogan is said to completely epitomise the modern British way.
