Description

The leopard is the smallest of the four 'big cat' species in the genus Panthera, the others being the lion, the tiger and the jaguar. A fearsome hunter, perhaps more so than its more notorious siblings, the leopard will kill and eat anything it can chase down, its incredibly strong jaws and completely unparalleled climbing ability allow it to take down prey larger than itself and then, astonishingly to carry the heavy carcass up the trunk of a tree to feed in peace.
